Braidwood Inquiry

The first commission of inquiry was a "study" commission to report on the use of conducted energy weapons (Tasers) in British Columbia, and to make recommendations respecting their appropriate use. The second commission of inquiry was a "hearing and study" commission to provide the Dziekanski family and the public with a complete record of the circumstances of Mr. Robert Dziekanski’s death during his interaction with members of the RCMP at the Vancouver International Airport and to make recommendations the Commissioner considered necessary and appropriate.
 

Mr. Vertlieb, 2010 Keynote Speaker, instructed delegates on the role of Commission Counsel in a Public Enquiry.  The final report on the inquiry where he was Commission Counsel was released.
